The Dickson String Quartet is Portland Oregon's prodigy classical string ensemble. Their youthful enthusiasm and artistic flair are paving the way for the Next Generation of classical musicians! Through talent, hard work and dedication, the Dicksons specialize in professional music for all occasions.
The Dickson String Quartet has entertained audiences for over five years. They have performed for many different venues to include weddings, wedding receptions, garden parties, dinner parties and school assemblies. Due to their exceptional level of professionalism and attention to detail, they have been regularly retained to participate in community service programs, city and state formal programs and service award programs. One of their most favorite programs on a yearly basis is performing for the Portland Rose Festival Royal Rosarians Queen's Luncheon.
The Dickson String Quartet highly believes in giving back to the community. They have partnered with The Children’s Cancer Association to provide musical RX programs to patients and families that are battling cancer. They have also given regular programs to the U.S. VA Hospital. The intent of the regularly scheduled visits is to give a tender touch of love and hope through music to our courageous veterans.
The Dickson String Quartet is made up of the older Dickson siblings. They consider themselves to be professional amatures; that is, they produce professional music because music is what they love. They are committed to loving each other as brothers and sisters and this loving commitment is transformed into exciting and inspirational music played from the heart.
Through their music The Dickson String Quartet strives to uplift and encourage the hearts of all those who hear them.
